Nature's God is Best Taught to Children by Parents - Not by Priests

By Raymond Fontaine, Ph.D. - February 2007

E-mail no. 200: A Prospective Parent Shows me How

Dear Mr. Fontaine, I am Emily, 25 years old, a college graduate, living in Florida. In 2002, I found your website that first revealed to me Nature's God. I devoured that precious revelation.

In 2004, I met my Prince Charming who was also a Deist. We got married in 2006 and we plan to start having children in a year or two.

We are determined to raise our children in Deism. At home, we will tell them about the Creator of the world and all of nature: the flowers and the trees, the fish and the birds, the animals and the people. As soon as our children can read, we will get "National Geographic for Kids". We will read it together.

Our children will go to public schools where religion is taboo. As you know, Deism is not a religion. It's simply a rational recognition of Nature's God. On Sundays, instead of taking the children to church, we will go to parks and zoos and the beach. There we will admire the marvels of nature. When the children ask who made the world, we will tell them that God created the world that evolved in millions of wonderful ways. That's our plan to educate our children who, in time, will hand down their belief of Nature's God to their children. This process will continue generation after generation.

Thank you for publishing your book and website enlightening us about the true God, namely: Nature's God. With best wishes, Emily.

E-mail no. 201: Why All Young Parents Should Follow Suit

Dear Emily, how fortunate you are to have found and embraced Nature's God at an early age. Unfortunately for me, I got to know Nature's God only in my fifties after living a monstrous lie which, as a priest, I passed along to thousands. Now I'm trying to redress that wrong by promoting Nature's God every way I can.

You are also fortunate that the entire theology of Nature's God is only one sentence long: namely, the designs observed in nature presuppose Intelligence. It exists. That's all that nature reveals about God - nothing about his nature, his location, his intervention in the normal course of nature.

Contrariwise, to learn what the Catholic Church teaches about God as revealed in the Bible took me 15 years cloistered in a seminary controlled by priests.

None of this happened to you nor will it happen to your children and their offspring - luckily for you all. Best wishes to you and your family. Ray.
